Registration of exempt discharges to surface waters and groundwater

Certain activities are exempt from the requirement to have an environmental permit.

In order to qualify for an exemption, your discharge or activity must meet certain criteria. If you cannot meet these criteria you will need to apply for a permit.

There is no fee for registration of an exempt activity.

There are three types of surface water and groundwater activities that are eligible for registration as exemptions:
