We have sought expressions of interest from suppliers for our Water and Environment Management (WEM) Framework through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). The deadline for expressions of interest has passed and we have issued the Lots 1,3 & 4 pre-qualification questionnaire to those who submitted an expression of interest within the timescale.
What is the scope of the WEM Framework?
The Water and Environment Management Framework is divided into four Lots. These are:
- Modelling, mapping and data services
- Environmental services
- Engineering and related services
- Asset delivery
The Framework will primarily serve the Environment Agency’s Flood Risk Management directorate and will also be available to the wider business, as well as the wider Defra family and others with a flood and coastal risk management responsibility. These include Local Authorities and Internal Drainage Boards.
The framework will run from April 2013 for four to six years delivering local projects across England and Wales.
What is currently happening?
The pre-qualification questionnaire has been issued for Lots 1, 3 and 4. We will issue the pre-qualification questionnaire for Lot 2 in the next two months. Recipients have until 16 March 2012 to complete and return the questionnaire. After this we will shortlist and tender the frameworks in the summer.
On the 20 February 2012 we hosted a BT live meet Supplier Conference. The presentation is available for download and Q and As will be available here shortly.
